Five generations at sea. One uncompromising standard. Now offered to the shelves that can tell the difference.

Blind Pirate Soap Co. is small-batch by conviction, not by limitation. Every bar is built from certified grass-fed tallow, organic coconut and castor oils, and organic botanicals — never synthetic fragrance, not once — and cured a minimum of eight weeks before it earns a label. It lathers where most soap surrenders: in seawater, straight off the deck, the way a soap raised by sailors ought to.

Those labels are Brailed by hand by our co-founder Dolton, who has been blind since birth and was raised nine years aboard a sailboat in Charleston Harbor. The raised Braille isn't decoration — it's necessity made beautiful. If a bar can't be read by touch, it isn't finished. That's the standard the whole company is built on, and it's why we're committed to hiring from the blind community as we grow.

Our Two Bars

The Captain's Bar — our showpiece. A generous 5-plus-ounce bar, finished with clean edges and a full hand-Brailed wrap, ready for the countertop or for gifting.

The Ballast Bar — the working bar. A 4.5–4.7-ounce bar shaped to swirl on a washcloth, boxed with a Braille label. Less footprint, less waste, made for those who provision and stock up.

Who We Partner With

Boutiques, spas, gift shops, and specialty retailers — concierge provisioners who outfit luxury sail and motor yachts — high-end wellness and natural-skincare shops — coastal luxury boutiques — and the discerning household that reads every label and would rather have one honest bar than ten cheap ones.
