A little goes a long way. Start small — you can always add more.

Scrape a thumbnail's worth from the tin or jar. Warm it between your palms until it melts clean — that's when the jasmine opens, the patchouli deepens, and the sandalwood settles in. Work it through your beard from root to tip, then down into the skin beneath. Shape as needed. Walk out smelling like the islands at dusk.

For hair — same principle. A small dab warmed in the hands works through as a light pomade, taming fly-aways and adding natural hold without weight or residue.
