Sovereign Gold is the bar the founder makes for herself and washes with every day. Handcrafted with certified grass-fed tallow, organic raw Manuka honey, organic castor oil, and organic coconut milk, it lathers softer, richer, and warmer than any bar we make. Sweet orange, rosemary, lemongrass, and litsea cubeba over a base turned warm and golden by turmeric and beetroot — it earns the name before you've even begun.

Raw Manuka honey — the gold standard

Not all honey is equal. Organic raw Manuka honey is in a category of its own — sourced from the Manuka flower, prized for centuries, and a humectant of rare quality. It's what gives Sovereign Gold its characteristic lather: noticeably softer, noticeably richer, unmistakably different from the moment it touches your hair. That softness isn't synthetic. It's honey doing what honey does when nothing's in its way. No compromise was made on this ingredient. None ever will be.

Why tallow

Certified grass-fed tallow brings the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K to every wash — not as additives, but as the ingredient itself. It makes for a rich, conditioning wash that leaves hair feeling full and soft rather than squeaky or coated. A solid shampoo with no synthetic fillers, no chemical stabilizers, and nothing your hair has to work around.

A note on switching to a shampoo bar

If you've spent years on conventional shampoo, give it time. Many people find the switch to a solid bar takes a few weeks as their hair adjusts. It's worth the patience.

Sovereign Gold — Scent Profile
This is not a sharp scent. It is a warm one.
Sweet orange opens the bar — bright and immediate, the kind of warmth that arrives before anything else. Lemongrass lifts it, clean and fresh, keeping the blend light on its feet. Rosemary grounds it with purpose — brisk, medicinal in the best sense, the backbone that gives every wash its clarity.
And then litsea cubeba settles beneath everything like a quiet revelation. Warm. Deep. Almost vanilla but wilder than vanilla has any right to be. It is the note you cannot quite name but will not forget.

Sovereign Gold — Care & Use Guide
Using Your Bar
Wet your hair thoroughly. Rub the bar directly between your palms to build a lather, or work it gently across the scalp and through the hair. Massage in with fingertips — not nails. Take a moment with this one. The honey lather is softer and richer than you may be expecting. Let it do its work. Rinse well with the coolest water you can manage. Cool water closes the cuticle and seals in what the bar just delivered.
A little goes further than you expect.
Salt Water Use
Sovereign Gold lathers in salt water. Wash as normal. Follow with a fresh water rinse.
The Transition Period
If you are coming from conventional shampoo or conditioner, your hair and scalp will need time to recalibrate. Several weeks to several months depending on history. You may notice increased oiliness or texture changes early on. Stay the course. Your scalp is remembering how to do its job without chemical assistance.
Conditioner
Not needed. Not recommended. Let your hair breathe.
Frequency
Wash as needed. There are no rules here — only what your hair tells you.
Caring For Your Bar
Keep it dry between uses. A well-drained soap dish extends the life of every bar significantly. Do not leave it sitting in water.
