Long, soft rollers, no chop — just slow, round undulations moving under the hull like something breathing, glowing pale under a moonless sky. Sailors have logged nights like it for centuries and called it a milk sea. That night was mine, and it's the reason this bar exists.

Sailors carried something just as pale and just as simple to get them through nights like that one: mead. Honey wine, brewed from little more than honey and water, kept in casks because it never spoiled and it kept a body warm on the long crossings. Sailor's Mead borrows that same idea — coconut milk and raw honey, doing all the work, needing nothing else added to it.

Handcrafted with Certified Grass-Fed Tallow, USDA Certified Extra Virgin Organic coconut oil, USDA Certified Organic castor oil, USDA Certified Organic coconut milk, and USDA Certified raw and unfiltered Manuka honey, this is the gentlest shampoo bar we make. Why tallow 
Certified Grass-Fed Tallow brings the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K to every wash — not as additives, but as the ingredient itself. It makes for a rich, conditioning wash that leaves hair feeling full and soft rather than squeaky or coated. A solid shampoo with no synthetic fillers, no chemical stabilizers, and nothing your hair has to work around.

A note on switching to a solid bar: if you've spent years on conventional shampoo, give it a few weeks to adjust. It's worth the patience.

The honest truth about the scent

No essential oils, no fragrance oils, nothing added on purpose. But nothing here is masked, either. USDA Certified Organic coconut milk carries its own soft, sweet whiff, and so does USDA Certified raw and unfiltered Manuka honey. It's a trace, not a scent — the faintest hint of what these two ingredients smell like on their own, nothing more. If you need absolute zero, our Still Water shampoo bar is built for that. A promise, same as our other pure bars: Sailor's Mead is cured away from every scented soap and shampoo we make, in the same dedicated unscented room as Still Water and Syrena. Every bar is wrapped in unbleached waxed parchment paper, then sealed in a single layer of shrink wrap — the only plastic we use anywhere in this company, and it never touches the bar itself. That seal is what keeps this bar exactly as pure as it left our workshop, however it's packed alongside anything else in your order.
