Description
This is the lavender bar.
Not a bar that contains lavender alongside other things. The bar where true lavender essential oil is the entire story — pure, undiluted, and given the space to be exactly what it is.
We use Lavandula angustifolia — true lavender, the real thing — and we use nothing else to scent this bar. It smells nothing like the lavender fragrance in commercial products: deeper, more complex, slightly sweet, carrying a herbal clarity that makes everything else smell like an imitation.
Lavender lives in our floral collection alongside Coconut Rose — our Egyptian geranium bar — and Alani Moani, our Hawaiian ocean floral. Where those bars carry the exotic and the extraordinary, Lavender asks for nothing except your attention and rewards it completely. This is the bar that has existed longest and needed improving least. Pure lavender. Nothing more. Nothing less.
What's in it
Premium lavender essential oil — true Lavandula angustifolia — is one of the most beloved botanicals in natural skincare, and one of the rare essential oils gentle enough to be a bar's entire scent. It's the note that makes this the bar people reach for at the end of the day.
Brazilian purple clay brings its Amazon-basin mineral character to the lather and gives this bar its vivid, completely natural purple hue — rich, artisan, and earned by the clay itself.
Rose kaolin clay layers alongside — gentler and softer, especially kind to sensitive or reactive skin. Together the two clays make a lather that's thorough and kind at once.
Indigo powder deepens the color naturally — every shade in this bar earned by an ingredient, never applied by a dye.
Organic colloidal oatmeal brings a gentle exfoliation and a silky softness to the wash — one of the rare natural ingredients recognized as a skin protectant, and a favorite for anyone whose skin is easily irritated.
Why our tallow is different
Not all tallow is equal. Certified grass-fed means the animal spent at least 95% of its life on open pasture — sun, grass, and open land the way nature intended. Only 5% grain, ever. That standard produces tallow rich in conjugated linoleic acid and the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K — the bioavailable fats your skin recognizes as its own. We low-heat render it, never bleached, never compromised. It costs us twice what standard tallow costs. Even certified organic tallow can come from grain-fed, shed-raised animals; certified grass-fed covers how that animal actually lived. We'll take our chances with the sun and grass.
The quietest bar we make
There's a version of this bar that sells itself on scent alone. Walk past it on a shelf and you smell it. But it was built by people who understand that what something does matters more than how it presents itself. A captain — a woman whose father handed her the wheel and she never gave it back — who has navigated by feel and instinct as much as by sight. And a son named Dolton, who has never seen a lavender field but knows exactly what this bar is by the Braille label he pressed onto it with his own hands.
Dolton Brailles every label by hand. Every single one. Because if you can't read it independently, it isn't finished. The website is screen-reader accessible. Every product is designed to be identified by touch. We built this company from the inside of real need — and we have never once made a product that didn't meet the standard we set for ourselves on the first day.
He will see everything. He will just see it differently.
The wind is out there. Point yourself into it.
Small batch. Plastic-free. Every label Brailled by Dolton's hands.
The gentlest clays. The most beloved botanical in natural skincare. In a bar that asks nothing of you except to slow down long enough to notice what extraordinary feels like.
