What's in it

Organic colloidal oatmeal is where this bar earns its reputation as the finest face bar in our collection. The FDA doesn't recognize many natural ingredients as skin protectants — colloidal oatmeal is one of the rare exceptions. Finely milled, completely organic, and present in every wash — gentle enough for daily use on sensitive or dry skin.

Raw organic Manuka honey is not regular honey. Not even close. Sourced from New Zealand bees that pollinate the native Manuka bush, it's significantly more expensive than every other honey on the market. We use it anyway because the difference it makes to your skin is not subtle, and we didn't build this company to use the second-best option because it costs less.

Pure essential oil of clove is the note that makes Oatmeal & Honey smell like a warm kitchen on a cold morning and the ingredient that makes it perform like something far more expensive than it is. We use only pure botanical essential oils in every scented product. You'll never find "fragrance" on our ingredient list. We use certified USDA organic, steam distilled, pure essential oil. Every essential oil we use is sourced from suppliers who provide full GC/MS testing, batch lot numbers, and country of origin documentation.

Organic coconut milk transforms the lather — silky, rich, and noticeably different from the moment it hits water. Vitamins C, E, and B complex alongside essential fatty acids that deeply hydrate and support skin elasticity. Your skin drinks it in.

Why our tallow is different — and why it matters

Not all tallow is equal. Certified grass-fed means that animal spent a minimum of 95% of its life on open pasture — sun, grass, and open land the way nature intended. Only 5% grain. Ever. That standard produces tallow with a nutrient profile that grain-fed, shed-raised, bleached commercial tallow simply cannot match — rich in conjugated linoleic acid, vitamins A, D, E, and K, and the kind of bioavailable fats your skin recognizes as its own.

We then source low-heat rendered tallow — preserving every one of those nutrients before cold processing it into our bars. Never heated to destruction. Never bleached. Never compromised.

Blind Pirate Soap Co. was founded by a captain whose father handed her the wheel and she never gave it back, and her son Dolton — completely blind since the NICU, raised for nine years aboard a sailboat named Syrena in Charleston Harbor, and the reason every label this company produces carries Braille.
