What's actually in it — and why it matters

Certified Grass-Fed Tallow is the foundation of every bar we make. It's a rich, traditional soapmaking fat, and it makes a bar that cleans without leaving skin feeling tight and stripped. Most commercial soap strips your skin and calls it clean. This bar doesn't.

Spearmint essential oil is cooling and bright without the aggression of peppermint — sharp enough to wake you up, gentle enough for daily use. It's the top note that hits first and sets the tone for everything underneath it.

Eucalyptus essential oil brings a clean herbal depth that keeps this bar from smelling like candy. There's nothing sweet about a coastal morning. This bar knows that.

Rosemary essential oil is the anchor — deeply herbaceous, the note that makes the whole scent smell intentional rather than assembled.

We use only pure botanical essential oils in every scented product. You'll never find "fragrance" on our ingredient list. We use certified USDA organic, steam distilled, pure essential oil where available. Every essential oil we use is sourced from suppliers who provide full GC/MS testing, batch lot numbers, and country of origin documentation.

Spirulina — one of the ocean's most nutrient-dense organisms — gives this bar its distinctive coastal green. Not a dye. An ingredient.

This company was founded by a woman who took the helm at nineteen and spent the next forty years reading water — and her son Dolton, who has been completely blind since his NICU birth, who spent the first nine years of his life aboard a sailboat named Syrena in Charleston Harbor, and who Brailles every single label by hand, because if you can't read it independently, it isn't finished.

Five generations of this family have read the water. A great-grandfather who crossed from India by ship and never stopped moving. A grandfather who taught a father about boats. A father who took a nineteen-year-old girl offshore for the first time and handed her the helm. An eldest son now captaining yachts in the Caribbean. And Dolton — who cannot see the ocean but has slept on it, rocked by it, woken by it every morning of his earliest life.

When we say this bar was built without compromise, we mean it the way sailors mean it. Out there, compromise has consequences. So does mediocrity. Neither belongs in our recipe.
