What's actually in it — and why it matters

Certified grass-fed tallow is the foundation of every bar we make. It's the closest thing in nature to your skin's own sebum — same lipid profile, same fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K — delivered in a form your skin recognizes, absorbs, and uses rather than fights off. Most commercial soap strips your skin and calls it clean. This bar restores it.

Spearmint essential oil cools and invigorates without the aggression of peppermint — sharp enough to wake you up, gentle enough for daily use on any skin type. It's the top note that hits first and sets the tone for everything underneath it.

This company was founded by a 100-tonne Ocean Master captain and her son Dolton — who has been completely blind since his NICU birth, who spent the first nine years of his life aboard a sailboat named Syrena in Charleston Harbor, and who Braille's every single label by hand because if you can't read it independently, it isn't finished.

Five generations of this family have read the water. Great-grandfather crossed from India on a ship and never stopped moving. A grandfather who taught a father about boats. A father who took a nineteen-year-old girl offshore for the first time and handed her the helm. An eldest son now captaining yachts in the Caribbean with a 200-tonne ticket. And Dolton — who cannot see the ocean but has slept on it, rocked by it, woken by it every morning of his earliest life.

When we say this bar was built without compromise, we mean it the way sailors mean it. Out there, compromise has consequences. So does mediocrity. Neither belongs in our recipe.
